About Ben

Ben and Christine Quintana
Welcome to my Web site!
This site is a place for me to post my thoughts and experiences as a young professional living in Boise, Idaho. I consider myself a leadership junkie and want to help lead Boise’s future. Besides studying and practicing leadership, I love to learn new things, travel, and work with talented people. I’m doing my part to make a positive difference in the world.
Most of my work day is spent helping to make the Boise Valley a better place for business. As Director of Public Relations and Leadership Development for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce I focus my time helping the Chamber tell its story and developing young and emerging leaders in the community.
I led the efforts to start, and continue to lead, the Boise Young Professionals (BYP) program at the Boise Metro Chamber. BYP has grown into an organization of more than 700 members from over 400 different companies in the Boise Valley. Included with my leadership development responsibilities are the prestigious Leadership Boise and Leadership Boise Academy programs. Leadership Boise has educated over 1,300 civc leaders in the Boise Valley since 1975 and the Academy has focused on educating civic leaders during their junior year of high school since 1984.
My career at the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce started in early 2004. I have held several positions with the Chamber including: Membership Representative, Programs Coordinator, Programs Manager, Boise Young Professionals (BYP) Manager, Director of the Small Business Success Center (SBSC), Director of Business Development for the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP), and most recently Director of Public Relations and Leadership Development.
Prior to my work at the Chamber, I spent five years in several sales, management, and leadership positions in electronics and wireless sales. I received my B.A. in Communication from Boise State University and my M.A. in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University.
